ENSC 380 Home Page

Welcome to the ENSC 380 home page for semester 00-1. Many of the demos and assignment solutions on these pages are written in Mathcad (.mcd filename extension), because its equations are all executable objects. You can run experiments or try different parameter values, and watch graphs or calculated values change - very instructive!

If you have Mathcad version 8 on your computer, it will start up when you click on a link to a .mcd file. Alternatively, you can use its integrated browser (Help; Resource Centre; click the button with a globe and two blue arrows; then use the address http://www.ensc.sfu.ca/people/faculty/cavers/ENSC380/ and bookmark it).
What if you don't have Mathcad on your computer? In that case, go to the Mathsoft web site and download a free copy of Mathcad Explorer (just use the hot button below). It's a combined web browser and version 8 Mathcad package that lets you view and change Mathcad files, but not print or save them.
And what if you don't have a Windows machine on which to run Mathcad Explorer? Then you'll have to be content with reading the PDF versions that, of course, are not interactive.
