Nyquist-Bode Movie
What you are seeing is the plotting of G(j*w) as w
varies between 0 and infinity. The Nyquist diagram (on top) plots the
position its the complex plane and the Bode plot (on the bottom) plots its
magnitude and phase. Note that at very small frequencies, the magnitude is
slightly greater than 1 (0dB) and the phase is zero; this corresponds to a
point on the real axis in the Nyquist plot. As the frequency becomes very large, the
magnitude decreases to zero as the phase approaches -270; the Nyquist plot
will approach the origin (zero magnitude) from the top (points on the positive jw
have an angle -270 = +90).
