Sound Blaster Pro Emulation

My project at WECC dealt with Sound Blaster Pro Emulation in a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) environment. While working at Spectrum Signal Processing, on the NEC Audio Project, I developed DSP code that emulates a Sound Blaster Pro (a well known sound card). The key parts to the project were reverse engineering the Sound Blaster Pro, developing the DSP code that was upgradeable and integrated into the real-time task operating system of the DSP, and testing the emulation on its own and with other code running simultaneously on the DSP.

For my presentation, I des-cribed the final product and the route I took to reach the final design and implementation of the emulation. I also showed how the Sound Blaster Pro Emulation worked in its native environment, PC Games _ playing DOOM.

Oh yeah, and I threw up in the lobby of SASK Energy - but some-body else has probably written about that.
