ramblings of a first year
eric charest, staff writer

G'mornin' everyone... I'm writing this under duress, so if you hear a whip cracking, it's good old Tim Norman. As the assistant to VP Social, I'm hoping to create a little more feedback about the Semester End Dinner (it's coming up quick, ya know!). So I’m hoping that possible suggestions for restaurants, etc. can be sent to me. I'm sure you know my email address by now, but if you don't, see the events board (I'm the bedtime story guy). So if you have any preferences, distastes (preferences are more helpful) or other ideas that relate to SED, please feel free to talk to me about them. The second focus of this message is directed to the first years. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??? As far as events go, we need to up our attendance. It looks like only three first years have attended pool league so far this semester, and they're ranking 15th, 20th, and 21st. We need some first years to come in and take out our beloved leader, Scott Logie. We can't let him keep the top of the league too much longer... As for the squash ladder, only two first years joined (and one of them is #1 right now - WAY-TO-GO Brad!!!). So let's up our appearances at the Social events eh? That extra hour to up your mark one percent really isn't worth it, let it go and get out and meet the upper years. Yes, it might just be possible to have a life while doing Engineering (contrary to everything else I've been told). Finally, check out Scott Logie's home pgae for a breakdown of up-and-coming events (www.sfu.ca/~slogie) and links to absolutely everything else on the web (jj Scott). Me Out...
