Da Prez Sez

Welcome First Years! Welcome back to school! And welcome to the first ENSCquire for the 1996-97 academic year. So everyone enjoyed their summer? I certainly did. If you want to know what I did in the summer, read the first installment of my journey titled "Yokohama-Vancouver Sister City Internship Program".

Whether you are doing a heavy load or a light one, you should always take some time to relax and have some fun. And what will be more fun than volunteering. The EUSS is always looking for someone to help us out. For example, we are going to publish our first issue of the EUSS year book this year. If you like taking pictures, drawing stuff, writing things, or simply cutting and pasting, join the year book team. By the way, if you have a cool name for our year book, let me know. Also, the best publication on the Earth, ENSCquire, always welcomes your articles. Write the things you like, write the things you know, write the things you like to know. Write us anything. Comics, funnies, poetry, stories, horoscopes, CD and book reviews, your trip to Hawaii, your coop in Ottawa, your favorite receipts, your best fashion tips... And as long as it does not violate any of our publishing rules, it will be published. Well okay, maybe we won't publish your thesis. Oh, how about crossword puzzle? I think Kim will really like to see an Engineering crossword puzzle in ENSCquire. Right Kim?

If there are any first year students that are participating in intramural sports, please let me know. The EUSS sponsors your intramural teams if 2/3 of the team members are engineering students. And remember, we always welcome comments, suggestions and questions. Last but not the least, remember to come to the EUSS office and check out the coolest EUSS T-shirt ever.
