Gah. How dull can school get? I have my labs, assignments, projects, reports, etc. etc. and all I have to show for five years for it is, as they say, this lousy t-shirt (actually if you want to be anal, I probably have closer to half a dozen SFU Ensc related shirts). Or is it?

Something the EUSS has been trying to do is restore some school spirit and general feeling of FUN in this place. We had a successful retreat where we discussed a lot of ideas got a lot of people thinking. To what end? Well let me count the ways.

Applied Science Volleyball just happened recently (or not so recently. just remember that I’m writing this a couple of weeks before actual Enscquire release).

We had a rock-climbing outing a week before that. We have street hockey on Fridays. We have theatre sports outing coming the next week and a semester end dinner on the final week. We had an IEEE curling a week ago. Then of course, there's my pet project, the You Don't Know Jack tourney that's happening on the last day of school.

On top of that, we have a load of nominations for excellent candidates for the upcoming EUSS who are just dying to make these and other events bigger and better (aren't you?). And look at who they're competing against... nobody!

Basically, there's a lot going on these days and it's getting fun to stick around a bit after classes now. Remember, all work and no play makes Doe a dull homo sapien.

What, still not satisfied? Think the EUSS isn't doing enough for you? Think there's a conspiracy going on in the EUSS making you believe you will actually get a job when you graduate and make money? Well hey, you're right! But you'll only really know how deep the conspiracy is if you're a part of it. So join in on the numerous activities, or maybe even run for a position next time. I for one, am voting "no" for every one of those do-gooders.
