Initial educational emphasis in the Electronics Engineering option is on fundamental electric and electronic concepts. Later studies will focus on system analysis, communications and digital signal processing and the course-work is well complemented with practical training. Courses from other departments such as Computing Science, Kinesiology and Physics broaden the students' knowledge and enable them to apply electronic solutions to the ever increasing "high-tech" industry.
Graduates from the Electronics Engineering option will be able to design electronic systems that facilitate the fast growth of the high-tech industry in North America and the world. They will possess a sound knowledge of electronic design and excellent practical skills, enabling them to design and develop the complex electronic systems required by the rapidly growing consumer and industrial electronics market.
