Do you know why Enscquire articles generally suck? I can't say for sure, but I've got a pretty good idea, since hey I'm writing one right now.

You see, the majority of Enscquire articles are written by EUSS executives. The reason this is so isn't because your executive is an extraordinarily productive bunch of engineers-cum-writers... no it's because they're required (err forced) to. This fact is seldom publicized, for the obvious reason that it would deter many from running for executive positions. So it's start blaming the executive, I mean the articles suck, and they write the articles, ergo they suck. But why do executives produce articles that suck?

First off, most executives write their article on the day that the article is due. Hence, little time is left for intelligent thought (let alone due care and diligence) in preparing these articles. There is really no solution to this problem, since the reason the articles are left so late is a combination of both the extraordinary amount of work that your executive is required (err forced) to do and the apathetic attitude everyone shares toward Enscquire.

Now for reason two: Engineers suck at writing. Why do you think that we're engineers? It's not because we enjoy Math or Physics (or are very good at them for that matter), it's because we just couldn't cut it in an arts program. The executive is a particularly extreme sample of the engineering population in this respect, since the real reason that they are on the executive is so that they can masquerade as business majors with a base in arts. It's kind of like how some of you dress up in women's clothing at night... you get the rush of being what you want without doing anything really permanent. Don't believe me, fine, just go ask any executive who they identify more closely with... J.J. Thompson or J.D. Salinger. As I see it the only reasonable solution to this problem would be to add special engineering journalism courses to the ENSC curriculum and that these courses be taken in lieu of physics courses.

Word count = 354.

Ok, that means I'll need to tell you reason three, then add a conclusion.... The third reason for ENSCquire articles sucking so bad is that the engineers on your executive are really boring people. Face it, good articles are exciting... you know, adventure, sex, action, sex, suspense, sex, drama, sex... you get the picture. You have to realize that the people writing these articles spend most of their days (and nights) at the school, in the labs with other engineers. The outside world is to them a foreign and dangerous place, and what little they know about it comes to them through the internet (though strangely Pamela Anderson and Sarah Michelle Gellar don't figure in many Enscquire articles....). So stop complaining... you want something witty, something enjoyable, something exciting you go write it. I mean it, they'll publish just about anything... this article got in here didn't it?

Word Count = 506
