The Applied Science Volleyball Tournament was held on Friday, July 16. It was a fun night full of ball smacking action!! Thank you to all of those who came out and supported the event. I’m sure the people who were at the tournament had a blast. After the tournament, there was a dinner gathering at Red Robin near Lougheed Mall. There were about 25 people there having a great time mingling.

I would like to congratulate Greg Hall’s team who won the competitive division, and Bill England’s team who came in second in the recreational division. For those of you who didn’t make it all the way, try again next semester. As for those of you who weren’t there on Friday night, you guys missed tons of fun. I urge you to form your own team next semester and come play with us. Remember, the purpose of the tournament is to have FUN. So it doesn’t matter if you know how to play volleyball or not. Keep your eyes on your In-box next semester for the next Applied Science Volleyball Tournament.

Can you believe it, there is only 1 week before exams start? Ahh... This will probably be the last time I’ll be writing to you as VP Events, but if you have any concerns or suggestions regarding events, please contact either myself (eykeung@sfu.ca) or Shirley Wong (who will be the returning VP Events in the fall - swongg@sfu.ca).
