Smooth and flows are terms often used to describe an effective writing style. A smooth flow of ideas requires carefully ordered and clearly connected ideas. Of course, a poorly placed sentence disrupts the flow of thoughts. But even if your ideas are logically ordered, you must repeat key words and phrases to ensure readers follow your train of thought.
